Family Update 01/04/2009

Here are some updates for ya'll

Casey:
Casey is doing just fine in Iraq. He is a bit bored but he keeps himself entertained by playing his Xbox (yes I sent it out there because I'm that great of a wife) and hitting the gym with his Battle Buddies (whoo hoo!). He is able to call us everyday, at least once and he almost always is in great spirits. His room mate is a really great guy, Matt, so I know Casey's got a good friend to stick with.
Erin:
I am doing just fine with Casey gone, much better than last time. I'm not sure why but this time is so different than last. Maybe I feel like we've been through it once so we can do it again...I don't know but I'm good and I have great faith that Casey will make it back to us safe and healthy. I've been staying busy lately by keeping up with my New Year's resolutions. Of course there is the one to lose weight, we all make that one. Also, I really want to get back into my art and I'm bound and determined to learn to play guitar. Casey's is much to big for me so I need a smaller one but they are so darn expensive. I need a guitar fund I guess...I'll accept donations I'll repay you with beautiful music haha. Also this year I wanna be me. I am going to reflect on who I am, what I want to be and where I am going. I've recently become obsessed with Guitar Hero world tour for our Wii and some new cd's I have. Justin Nozuka, Jason Mraz and Buzz Ballads (I know the last one is funny). They haven't left the cd player since I bought them. I'm still stuck on Jack Johnson too. Enough about me...
Warren:
Where to start on our little Bookie. This kid is so smart I can't even believe it half the time. He is reading above grade level in his Kindergarten class and doing well overall. His behavior is amazing, at school of course. He is definitely a teacher's pet but that's better than the class clown I guess. He's also our little prepster. If the boy can't wear a collared shirt to school (polo/golf shirt or button down) he gets upset. "Why not!? I want to look nice!" Yeah, definitely did NOT get that from Daddy.
Justin:
Our Beef Cake. He might be the goofiest 4 year old I know. He is a typical boy. Constantly dirty, very loud (that's an Allen boy trait lol), and makes up fish stories-exagerating everything, "it was THIS BIG". He makes up words like "Loolah" that can mean anything from sandwich to bicycle. According to his Head Start teacher, Aunty Carolyn- a member of the church, he is a great kid and a wonderful leader. I'm sure many of you remember clingy, whiny Justin. He's big stuff now. He is often chosen to be the line leader and the door opener and many other class room positions. He loves Pre-K and his teacher is an amazing hybrid of my mother-in-law Carol and my Stepmom Kyle. It doesn't get much better than that people!
Kaitlyn:
Oh oh Katie Q, the princess of our little ohana. She's two now, my last baby is two. I'm still dealing with that issue. She talks very well, I believe her favorite word is "cookie" or "shoes", I think that there shows I'm raising her right! lol She loves to role play with dress-up and her doll house. She loves to listen to music and dance. She gets those skill from her mama. She is becoming more independent by the minute and I hate it. I don't want to let go but I know I need to.
That's about it for all of us here at the moment. I'm going to play around with it some more and figure out how to add photos and video...more to come eventually. Thanks for reading!
